Did you know the law changed to make it a legal obligation for owners to microchip their dogs as of 6th April 2016? This is to try and promote responsible dog ownership and make it easier to trace unscrupulous dog breeders.

My chocolate Labrador Gwen was in for exploratory surgery last Monday. The vets thought it was a tumour. They didn’t give up and it turned out she had a stone in her bladder. One week on, she’s doing amazingly well and I just wanted to say thank you for not giving up on her. She’s my whole world and I’d be alone if it wasn’t for your kindness and perseverance. Can't say enough positives about the wonderful care and choices we received when our beautiful cat Merlin developed what we think was cancer. He was sadly put to sleep several months later but the care we received made us feel like they loved Merlin just as much as we did.
Thank you so much for looking after our boy all the way to the end and we will continue to come with our other cat and dog. Bless you all especially Nicki xx

So - eventually in a place where I can write this now. 2 weeks ago my cat was attacked and seriously injured by a dog, we had previously phoned this vets & was put on a waiting list as we have recently moved & this was now the closest vets to us.
The attack happened around 11.30am on a Saturday morning. - as I said our cat had been attacked by a dog & was severely injured. She needed immediate emergency attention - we called the nearest vets (this one) & desperately asked if our cat could be seen as we need to rush her in.
We were asked if we were a patient & I explained how we were on a waiting list but they were only 5 mins away & our cat was in a bad way & clearly in a LOT of pain.
We were then told no - we couldn’t be seen as they close in 10mins.
I again explained the serious nature of our situation only to be told again. - no they close in 10 mins & we would have to use our old vets.
I had no time to argue as I was extremely upset & worried about our cat by this point - so I had to rush her 20mins away with her suffering to our previous vets.
We actually had to drive past this practice to do this!!
There is clearly NO concern for animals well being at this practice (if they had a fraction of care this would not have happened). We did not want any free treatment only emergency care for our pet. I honestly cannot believe a vets did this to such an emergency! I 1000% would NOT recommend this practice. Clearly no love for animals as they say. Shame on this practice!
Our cat ended up passing away!

I’ve been Polmont for years now, used to love this place and the staff. But after what I’ve just experienced I won’t ever use this vets again.
Been told two infections on my dog isn’t emergency or cause for her to be seen and get treatment, wasn’t even offered treatment over the phone or anything. Was spoken too like I don’t know anything and spoke too in such a disgusting manner . I understand times are stressful but there was no need in how I spoken too or treated, I was simply trying to get my dog treatment that’s needed ,Thankfully another vets as agreed to see my poor dog and get her treatment as it is classed as an emergency.

I don’t have the words to express my appreciation for the folks at the clinic, they have looked after all of our pets with impeccable care.
Allowing us the time to say goodbye to our cat during the current pandemic, along with prompt return of his ashes leaves me lost for words of appreciation for the team here

Was recommended this vets,was originally at a diff vets,my girl miisha was very poorly,took her here,Nikki the vet is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend her,she’s been amazing with my baby girl miisha and I honestly can’t thank her enough! Also miisha is still slightly nervous to visit a vets but no where half as bad as what she was at the last place! Yous have a lot of time for our babies and that’s what wee need! Thanks again Nikki ❤️🐾

Our furry fella goes by many names. Hector, Grouse detector, Españiel, Wee sh*te and my favourite, The Remarkable Spaniel and remarkable he is. Over the last few days he has endured major surgery to remove an obstruction from his lower intestine namely an apricot pit. He's on the mend now and convalescing at home with a box of Tramadol and some good DVDs although there's only so many times you can watch 101 Dalmatians! A huge debt of gratitude must go to the staff, nurses and veterinarians of Polmont Vets for their care, compassion and skill. He'll thank you all when you next see him, probably by jumping into your arms without warning!

First time at Polmont Vets with our big fella JJ! He was a rescue and wasn't sure how he would react to the vet as he is quite nervous (even though he is an 8st American bulldog) he's a timid big fella. The vet took his time with him. Gave us alot of help, guidance and JJ was on his best behaviour!
It was also really good to see the vet teaching the girl from the vet school during our visit.

We had to say goodbye to our lovely 11 year old westie, Archie tonight.
Polmont Veterinary Clinic have been with Archie through every jag, illness and condition he's ever had.

Couldn't ask for better vets. We had been taking Molly since moving here 10 years ago until we sadly had to have her put to sleep last month. I have no hesitation in recommending this practice as everyone is so friendly and genuinely care about the animals brought in to them. When the time is right for us to get another dog we will most definitely be back.

Having relocated to the area a few years ago I was looking for a caring vets, one that was more concerned about the pet not the money. I fell on my feet finding Polmont Veterinary Clinic. The staff are all amazing and truly care about the pets. Their service is second to none, friendly and knowledgeable. I attend regularly as my dog is diabetic so they know us quite well now, we always get a warm welcome when we arrive, my dog loves going into the practice, no fears as she's displayed in other practice's. They always do their best to accommodate a last minute appointment, wherever possible and are always available for advice over the telephone. If anyone is needing to find a new Veterinary practice don't even consider looking else where, this is a gold, 5 star practice.
